The mansion was later acquired by Abdülhamid II and given to Foreign Affairs Minister Tevfik Pasha, who transformed it into the Mansion of External Affairs.
Tevfik Pasha's Swedish wife, Elisabeth Tschumi, suggested converting the mansion into a hotel. The property was initially called Miramare before becoming the renowned Park Hotel under the management of Aram Hıdır. The Park Hotel operated until 1979 and hosted notable guests including Atatürk in the 1930s. Atatürk also hosted King Edward VIII for a state dinner at the property. Turkish Prime Minister Adnan Menderes reserved the entire first floor during his stays.
The current building reflects the essence of Ottoman architecture, blending classical and modern design approaches. Each floor is named after one of the Ottoman Sultanas who significantly impacted Ottoman history. Period costumes reflecting each Sultana's era are displayed in the corridors, creating a historical narrative throughout the property.
